Children’s Feet

Children’s feet are rapidly growing and not fully formed.

Children’s feet differ from an adult foot as they are rapidly growing and not yet fully formed. In fact, a true gait cycle only sets in by the age of 6. Most toddlers will walk by the age of 20 months, although it is important to remember that this is not a hard and fast rule.

Some children walk with their feet pointed inwards or outward, most children outgrow this between the ages of 12 -15. Even though variations in a gait cycle goes occur, if your child is tripping over and is unable to keep up with activity or their friends come in and see if we can assist.
